TextMuse

Interactive Prototype

Design Goals

TextMuse was an event management app that connected users to local businesses through user-to-user event sharing. TextMuse aimed to optimize the user experience of event discovery.

I began with user research. I interviewed TextMuse users and business partners, uncovering user needs that I would target with my design.

I created new connections between existing design elements, such as event categories and event pages, to give users new ways to interact with the app.

I also created a new user interface for TextMuse. I restyled the app, in order to engage users visually.

Enriching Event Discovery

I found that TextMuse users valued the app as an open bulletin board for events. I aimed to preserve this usability, while opening up the event browsing experience with new interactions.

I created interactive event categories, which added a new layer of depth to the browsing experience of TextMuse. I also added new interactions and pages, which allowed users to explore local event authors.

Optimizing Visual Design

I built a new design theme, to unite my new event categories with the main menu of TextMuse. I used visual contrast and repetition throughout the app, to encourage event browsing.
